Cookies Hut Woolshed Creek Hut tramp 11 & 12 November 2018

The intention was to tramp to Cookies Hut via Radcliffe Saddle but this was thwarted by flooding on Double Hill Run Road. The days before the tramp had been very wet and there had been low snow.

As a result we decided to tramp to Woolshed Creek Hut and were rewarded with fabulous weather and scenery.

Once at the hut Sandi suggested that we should visit the cave. There was some debate as it meant that we would get our feet wet (!!) but it turned into a lovely wee side trip. It is recommended that any trip travelling from the hut via the Bus Stop should include this in their tramp.

The evening was spent playing Euchre and talking with some Belgian backpackers.

On Monday we tramped out via the Bus Stop and Rhyolite Ridge.

Trampers: Ian Fussell, Kaye Young, Geoff Mahan, Sandi Leith and Gerald Edmunds
