Mt Grey Track Clearing

Recently Sandra Knox and Cathie Graves did a recce for a trip up Mt Grey and found the track to be very overgrown in places.(Apparently it's not being maintained by DOC anymore.)

Because of this, Cathie decided to do a bit of track clearing before the tramp, to make life easier for the trampers. An email was sent out around the club and Cathie was delighted to have seven volunteers join her for an attack on the track! (Sandra was away sunning herself in Auckland!)

As can be seen from the photos, it was very frosty and cold but excellent progress was made.
The tramp, on the following Wednesday was made a lot easier by the groups hard work.

It's great to see how club members are prepared to give up their time for the good of others. Well done !
